During the first week we will spend a total of 50-60 minutes interpreting.

Our first recommendation would be to find a video you yourself would enjoy. Think back to a topic that has sparked your curiosity last year or maybe a topic you would like to explore a bit deeper. Try to find a YouTube video or a podcast with it – just like you would when preparing for an event. Before you attempt the challenge we would suggest you prepare a bit: brush up on vocab, revise your glossary and read an article or two about it. Then, when you’re ready, find a video and get down to interpreting.

However, if you are pressed for time this holiday season, we at the 30/30 Challenge have pre-selected videos you can work with. Feast your eyes on the list

You are also welcome to go to https://speech-repository.webcloud.ec.europa.eu/ and find a shorter speech – the search shouldn’t take longer than 5 minutes
